Renato Soru is the founder of the second internet provider in Italy an expert in telecommunication and in the digital industry, a former governor of the Italian region of Sardinia and presently a Member of the European Parliament.

 

I am senior assistant of his office in the European Parliament, managing his team, the policy workflow for his first term as a MEP.

 

I follow digital issues, both in the Industry committee and in other committees. I was in charge of his resolution on the data-driven economy and on the renewal of the IGF mandate and coordinated the work of the Italian delegation on the Digital Single Market report. These files successfully ensured an open approach on issues arising from new digital services and businesses, such as the sharing economy and the Internet Of Things.

 

On behalf of Mr Soru I organized various events, both in the Parliament and in Cagliari, contacting speakers, arranging logistics and preparing the groundwork for communication activities.
